Checkmate! Literacy Game Knight Brings Learning to Life at TVS
The Village School's annual Literacy Game Knight was a roaring success, drawing PK–5th grade students and families for an evening of games, giggles, and learning in the TVS Gym. Organized and led by our incredible lower school teachers, this event put a creative spin on classic board games—each one infused with literacy-based challenges designed to build vocabulary, strengthen reading skills, and spark storytelling.
From spelling showdowns to narrative-building board games, students engaged with language in fresh, fun ways while families cheered them on. The atmosphere buzzed with friendly competition, laughter, and a true celebration of learning through play.
