Village Success Center

Due to the tremendous growth of this unique program, we have allocated space in the Lakeside Administrative Wing to house our LS and MS TLC and Enrichment Programs. These spaces will provide conducive learning environments for our exceptional program. We are also blessed to have a fantastic team in the Village Success Center.

The Village School is the preferred educational choice for a broad range of students and families seeking a personalized PK3-Grade 12 continuum of faith-based character education and exceptional academics.

Thanks to generous contributions, we are able to provide the VSC, which is a unique program of TVS, with the resources it needs to continue to thrive. A few ways we accomplish this goal is through two recent additions to our VSC program. First, to add to our new Lower School enrichment program and second to our Upper School Bridge Program which helps students get acclimated with our advanced curriculum. These programs will ignite the passions of every student who walks through our doors. Further, this includes investing in Orton-Gillingham training for our signature TLC program to support diverse learning needs and laying the groundwork for a future building that will serve as a beacon of excellence for future generations. We need your support to make this dream a reality!

The team is comprised of Erin Whiffen, Dr. Lisa Lyon (LS Enrichment), Ann Nathan (LS TLC), Kandice Pryor (MS TLC), Jenn Schehr (US TLC), and Nicole Perrotta(US TLC), all enthusiastic about collaborating with TVS students and families. The VSC team provides academic support services across all three school divisions.

In addition to the traditional TLC supports we have offered students in the past, we are thrilled to offer an enrichment component for those students who need additional challenges outside of the classroom.

The 2024-2025 school year provides an even more supportive and robust way for students to dive into learning successfully. Our TVS Success Center will liaise between teachers, families, and students to help implement Village School Education Plans (VSEP), enrichment services, support services and guide students toward a successful year.

Students who require additional support services have a Village School Education Plan (VSEP). This VSEP will be shared with all of the student's teachers and will guide them in meeting each child’s individual accommodations. During the first week of school, teachers will be given time to get to know your child and the Success Center team will meet with departments to review individual learning supports and plans. We aim to have each student working toward academic independence and self-advocacy.

TVS Success Center Enrichment students work in small groups to challenge their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Dr. Lisa Lyon actively collaborates with classroom teachers to offer our high-achieving students a robust and differentiated learning experience. Dr. Lyon loves working with our students and staff to offer her extensive expertise.
